Diebold admitted in August 2008 that their tabulator software doesn't count votes correctly.
Diebold tabulators and software will count our votes in San Diego in November 2008, and in many other cities across the nation.

This does give spiritual progressives, along with many others, a reason to question why the Republican party and conservatives in general, gave such strong support for the passage of HAVA and the introduction of electronic voting into U.S. elections.
The sheer size of the progressive vote prevailed on November 4, giving us the opportunity to bring about change in the way our votes are counted in future elections.
It is an opportunity we ignore at our own peril.
