Why Electronic Vote Counting is Unreliable

In California, while the Diebold Touchscreen Voting machines have been decertified as a result of the Secretary of State's Top-to-Bottom Review, the Diebold optical scanners and central tabulators will still be used in San Diego in
the 2008 elections, according to Deborah Seiler, the San Diego Registrar of Voters. As more and more evidence makes clear, optical scanners and central tabulators are also an ideal place for election insiders to tamper with election results with little chance of detection.

That means that all San Diego election results will be faith based. We will just have to trust that they are true and accurate. Any required recount in close elections will be conducted again with Diebold/Premier machines, secretly, and closely monitored by our Registrar, Deborah Seiler ( past top Diebold sales rep), and Assistant Registrar Michael Vu (past Director of the Board of Elections in the 2004 Cuyahoga County, Ohio recount debacle who when asked to provide specified ballots for the recount, insisted that he had misplaced all 687,255 ballots). The ballots were finally found but without Michael Vu's assistance.

Should we be concerned about the accuracy of election results in San Diego? Absoutely !
